Recommended by a friend that was a patron for 10 years. Let's just say my friend is not returning either. Food was nothing to jump for. The service was horrible. The owners mother is not very friendly and has no customer service skills. If you want to be charged for refills this is your place.

Been here for breakfast a few times, not bad, not great. It's a good greasy spoon type of place. Good hangover food!

This was my second time in and I had a breakfast croissant sandwich. It was pretty good but heavy on the grease. I would have liked to have a flavored coffee but they do not offer it. The pricing is very reasonable but I didn't eat anything that was delicious on either occasion. Might be back if I am in the area and hungry.

The Good: The food is very good. Comfort food at its best. Definitely recommend the French Toast breakfast. It comes with 4 pieces of French Toast, 2 slices of bacon and an egg prepared your way. The Bad: Unless you are a local or traveling up 85, this is out of the way. The food is good, but not quite worth driving out of the way for. The Ugly: The outside appearance gives you the rundown truck stop restaurant vibe. If you are in the area , it is worth checking out.

Stopped in on a whim. First and last time. I heard this place used to be epic...they must have changed owners in the last few years. Nice big menu...nothing worth mentioning came to our table of 4.

This place was an excellent option 4 years ago. Great food and top notch service. Oh how that has changed in a big way. While the food is still decent I was absolutely disgusted with the service, easily the worst I've ever experienced. I saw some other reviews on here and it seems I am not alone. The manager or whatever he is an older, short, and tubby guy was in the face yelling at two female patrons. It was very uncomfortable and unprofessional how he slammed his fists on the counter and was practically screaming at them and they said nothing back. Im not sure what happened but as a man you shouldn't talk to females in an aggressive manner like that. The guy looked as if he was gonna hit them. My waitresses was extremely rude and rather sit behind the counter and text than refill our coffee though it was requested multiple times. I truly feel from the moment I walked in that I wasn't wanted there. It's sad cause this was once a great local establishment.

Stopped here on the way from DIA to Greeley. It's obviously a local spot since the server knew everyone by name. She was awesome... so friendly, fast, checked back with us and even sat at our table and chatted a bit. I had the steak & egg special and my husband had the french toast. My food was good, the steak was flavorful although a bit dry and my eggs were perfect. My huband really liked his french toast. This place has some old time charm and great employees. I'll be back.

We've only stopped here three times, usually going through to something else, this time it was to the Wild Animal Sanctuary out in Keensburg with lions, tigers (lots of tigers), and bears, oh my. But every time we've stopped here the American Food has been amazingly solid in execution. The coffee has always been hot (not fancy), the medium-over eggs had the edges crisp, the whites cooked through, and the yolks creamy, the hash browns are always crisp on the edges, the toast was hot and buttered, and the food they do they do well. The corned beef hash wasn't canned, and was well crisped on the edges. My husbands huevos rancheroes were hot, spicy, and done to his liking. My child's fish and chips were hot and crisp, and they even brought him malt vinegar for them, which not every place can or does. The service was fast, the waitress friendly, and she outdid herself for a kids birthday sundae at another table, and gave it to them for free. The building *is* very old, and avoid the back room, as it's just kind of off, but the front area, while old, is clean, and the food is hearty.

Had a problem at the restaurant. The owner proceeded to not work with us and nearly tried to "step up to me". He acted like he wanted a fight.Ii was shocked on the unprofessional demeanor he presented and was very offended!!! Wont ever go back nor will I ever recommend the establishment to anyone, ever!!!

Had to go to Fort Lupton early this morning and decided to skip breakfast at home to try a local joint up there. So, after tending to my business I stopped in here. It looked promising as the parking lot was about half full, and there was a steady stream of people coming and going. Comfortable and homey atmosphere. Most of the customers seemed to be local regulars, which always a good sign. The service was great, and my waitress was very friendly and chatty. This earned them an extra star. I had the sausage and cheese omelet with hash browns. The best I can say is that it was just OK. The coffee was, well, coffee. Nothing special. The omelet was good. The hash browns were of the frozen shredded variety. Nicely cooked, but still... The pre-tip bill was $9 and change. If I find myself in Fort Lupton around meal time I'll stop again, but I wouldn't go very far out of my way to visit.

Stopping into the sleepy little hamlet of Fort Lupton on a fine Sunday afternoon to procure petrol, my eyes were immediately greeted by giant letters sprawled across the building closest to the highway which read $5 steak and eggs everyday! Having a decided soft spot for greasy spoon windows into bygone eras, I had to stop (much to my wife's chagrin), and the little crapshack did not disappoint. The ambiance was truckstop meets do-it-yourself remodeling, and the waitress sounded a lot like Marge's sister Selma from the Simpsons; perfect. My coffee came in one of those white, 3 inch thick porcelain mugs that you could bounce off of the floor without breaking, and I thought fleetingly about asking our server if they offered any carb or gluten free options just for a laugh. On a side note, I have always suspected that the company that manufactures those coffee mugs ceased production in Reagan's first term, but has never sold out as none ever break. As such, they may or may not contain asbestos. Bravely, perhaps a touch masochistically, I did indeed order the $5 steak and eggs, and it was everything I thought it could be and more. The steak was a full quarter inch thick, and the eggs were, well, eggs (how do you screw up an egg!?!?). Honestly, the meat wasn't bad (although I am biased as a died-in-the-wool carnivore) and the service was perfectly fine. Whether they actually use food grade meat, or some sort of reclaimed leather product and pound it with a hammer long enough to tenderize it is anyone's guess. My wife ordered the breakfast burrito not realizing that it was the size of a particularly obese cat, and reported that the 5% that she ate was fantastic. The staggeringly friendly locals were a hoot, and I am not ashamed to say that I will likely be back. By the way, my four door , full-sized Dodge truck was the smallest vehicle in the lot. I suspect that neither fuel economy nor cholestorol has been invented in Lupton just yet.
